Sasha Allen The openly transgender transgender female singer who made it onto the Live Shows on The Voice made history in their first appearance. The first time in the past 21 seasons of The Vocal contests Sasha had made it beyond to the Battle Rounds. The Newtown team, Jim and Sasha Allan, are currently in the top 8 within the 21-year history of the Live Shows The Voice! Sasha declared that he's transgender as part of their Blind Auditions package. He said to Parade.com that it was a long process before making the decision. Sasha admitted that it was difficult to decide because he had to expose a personal and vulnerable part of him in front of millions and millions. The transition took place while it was still high school. The fan support and the impact that this affected people despite the fact that the choice was a difficult one and was the main reason that convinced Sasha that this transition was beneficial. "We used to play it before The Voice was even a reality show for us. It was quite a surprise. It was a track we already knew; it was a song that we knew we had ideas to arrange. It was quite amazing that the crowd struck the nail on their head."
